Congratulations on your offer to study Mature Entry Medicine at RCSI. Every year approximately 15 Mature Entry applicants join the programme. We are delighted to have you on board and we hope you will have a fantastic time at RCSI.

Mature Entry Medicine tuition fees loan
We understand that returning to education is a huge commitment, both personally and financially. To assist you with financial planning during your time at RCSI, we have worked closely with Bank of Ireland to create a tailored loan package for Mature Entry Medicine students. This loan is designed to cover tuition fees for the final four years of the programme only, with maximum funding of €60,000 available over this four-year duration. It also includes a moratorium on repayments during those four years. More information on the specific terms of the loan is available here.

Tax relief on fees
You may be eligible to claim tax relief on tuition fees paid. Full information on the Revenue’s tax relief scheme is available on their website.
RCSI can provide receipts for tax relief purposes to eligible students, once you are registered with RCSI. You will be able to request receipts via the Student Fees section of Moodle (our virtual learning environment) once you become a registered student.
If you are looking to book accommodation in Dublin, RCSI provides two On-Campus Accommodation Options, Mercer Court and New Mill. RCSI also provides recommendations for a number of Off-Campus Accommodation options and we host an Accommodation Message Board which will give you details about off-campus accommodation that may become available.
Free GP care for students
All undergraduate students of RCSI (including Mature Entry students) are entitled to free consultations at Mercer's Medical Centre provided they hold a valid current student ID and student number. For more information including opening hours visit the Mercer’s Medical Centre website.
