At RCSI, students complete a 4 year BSc programme in Advanced Therapeutic Technologies (Hons).

The (bio)pharmaceutical and health sector is facing a new era of opportunity as it incorporates health innovations and technologies in areas such as genomics, precision medicines, big data and connected health. With an increasing focus on disease prevention and tailored therapies and technologies, there is a need to develop scientists capable of innovating to deliver the next generation of transformative therapeutic technologies. Graduates will have strong scientific, big data and transversal (communication, project management etc.) skills and will be considered ‘work ready’ thanks to an eight month industry placement in Year three of the programme.

The RCS-Eye website was such a great “one stop shop” for all of my questions that I had before I started RCSI. It helped me navigate everything from housing to visa applications to schedules and assessments, and really helped ease the transition to starting university in a new country!”
